About The ACC
The Aspen Cycling Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing community-powered cycling to Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley.
Volunteer-run since 1988, the Aspen Cycling Club offers low-cost, weekly road and mountain bike races from May to September each year, as well as free skills clinics, trail work days, community cycling events, and youth cycling scholarships.
The ACC welcomes everyone from experienced racers to complete beginners, with three levels of competition, as well as age divisions and special events for children. Our free skills clinics allow cyclists to learn the basics from expert coaches, and our races are the perfect testing ground to put those newly acquired skills to the test in a low-pressure racing environment.
As a community-powered non-profit, the ACC depends on funding from business sponsors and individual supporters, and everything we do is made possible by a dedicated group of volunteer board members.
RACE SERIES
Every year from September through April, the ACC’s board of directors plans, permits, and organizes the upcoming season’s events. Races are held on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, and ACC members can compete for overall series points against other riders in their category.
FUNDING
The ACC maintains low entry fees for all races, which means the majority of our funding comes from business sponsors and individual donors. Our generous supporters enable us to permit events, pay our race-day staff, provide youth cycling scholarships, and much, much more.
GIVING BACK
Beyond Wednesday-night races, the ACC provides free skills clinics, puts on an annual trail maintenance day, allows all youth cyclists to race for free, and provides thousands of dollars of youth cycling scholarships at the end of each season.
